The Gun That Kills
Another one from the archives/hard-drive
This was written by Paul Scott and appeared in UK fanzine..possibly OmniVistaScope.
When I read the script I immediately thought of EC comics. I recall the writer was a bit surprised at the American style I opted for having visualised it as an English story. Oh well, It doesn't affect the story. Some awkward hands and poses here but it's a nice little yarn.

Neroy Sphinx- What You See Ain't What You Get (b+w)
I drew this strip by writer Dan Whiston for the small press title FutureQuake a few years ago. When 2000Ad's Tharg (Matt Smith) announced he was going to feature amateur comics in The Judge Dredd Megazine our editor decided this would be a good one to submit. So we were all delighted when in appeared in Meg 263.
Here are the black and white unlettered pages

Tales From The Emerald Isle 2
I did a drawing (posted earlier)for the latest issue of Tales from the Emerald isle from Hibernia Comics
From the blog:
''Tales from the Emerad Isle 2D special
The new issue of Emerald Isle was launched in Derry, and I now have copies for sale. No 2000ad characters this time around, this time we have Robots, Highwaymen, Fairies and more. Leprechauns
Art Al Nolan
A Robot Walks into a Bar
Script, Art and Lettering James Newell

Script, Art and lettering David Withers
The Fairy-Catcher

The Good People 2
Art Johnny McMonagle

Misty Comic in SFX(March)
A nice mention for this comic that I worked on in the March edition of SFX magazine
""Long-term readers might remember we featured issue one of the Mistycomic.co.uk specials in these very pages over three years ago, in our 2006 Christmas issue to be precise. Well they've only gone and made a ruddy 'nother, and about time! For those unaware, Misty was a weekly horror comic aimed primarily at young girls that ran in the late 1970s and early 1980s (also see page 90!). The Mistycomic.co.uk specials aren't official products but lovingly crafted fan homages, this one featuring 13 stories full of top notch, original artwork, spooky poems and an interview with artist John Armstrong, who illustrated several strips for the original Misty. You can feel the nostalgia on your fingertips after flicking through this treat.""
